How It Works

The LottoFoneCard is purchased like any other item that is scanned eletronically at the point of sale.

Once it is handed to the store's clerk at the check-out counter, the card is scanned either with the stores existing UPC barcode reader or magnetic stripe reader. If the store sells other lotto tickets, the clerk can scan the card using the traditional lottery terminal.

The selling of the card basically works like a prepaid calling card or gift card: scan, purchase and it is ready for use.

Once purchased, the LottoFoneCard is ready for use at a time and place of the customers choosing. Simply dial the 800-number on the back of the LottoFoneCard, enter in the Card's serial number and PIN number, and all numbers on the Card are automatically activated for the next drawing.

The customer receives a confirmation number at the end of the brief phone call and the LottoFoneCard serves as the lotto ticket and the bearer instrument.
